Angel Food Bakery

Danny Mansmith has been recommending Angel Food Bakery right down the street from us for months and we keep forgetting or rushing past it...finally stopped in one very hot afternoon. Today is not that hot afternoon. I wrote this post on 8/11/07. I have no idea why I didn't post it here then but here it is now...We have been to visit this bakery quite often since this first visit...but not as often as you may think considering it is a block away. They make killer "angel food cupcakes" which I like because they are low carb...you know, all those eggs....

My token "ironic" photo. (the White Castle t-shirt juxtaposed with local homebaked independant business purchases)
The bakery is decorated with dozens of Easy Bake Ovens. Super cool.
In 1963: America's first working toy oven, was turquoise and had a carrying handle and fake stove top. It was invented by designers at Kenner Products (now a division of Hasbro). In its first year, over 500,000 lucky kids talked their parents into spending $15.95. By its fifth birthday, the EASY-BAKE Oven was a household name.
