A movie version of BLOOD MERIDIAN?

Ravenous was okay. But the overpowering score drove me mad (not too evident in this scene, to be fair).

I didn't like the music either actually *.

But I know tons of people who LOVED it...for me it was too obviously folky...and then kind of too "dramatic". I wish they had mixed up the general pace of the music. But I did love this movie. And I also think the scriptwriters (Ted Griffin?) were influenced by Blood Meridian.

Its ineresting. It looks familiar like I have seen it or parts of it like this. Not sure though. Will have to ask my mom if she has this one because if she does I more than likely have seen it. Or at least heard of it.

I absolutely loved Ravenous! It's one of my all time favourites. And yet so few people I know (in real life anyways) have seen it.

It would be best if nobody makes a movie of Blood Meridian for a long time. It could only be a sad disappointment.

I don't know...I like the idea...yes it could be a terrible movie...or it could be done. I couldn't believe you could make a movie of Moby Dick...which is basically the same themes as Blood Meridian...and the version with Gregory Peck is fricking awesome! I would also compare SE7EN and Silence of the Lambs with the themes of Blood Meridian...?

This movie Ravenous is very much a riff on Blood Meridian, has the same dark humour, the kind of impossible bad guy, and manfest destiny...it's also not like Blood Meridian...but there is a riff in the ending with interesting allusions to Blood Meridian. Ridley Scoot is set to direct a version that I have heard...it's been tossed around Hollywood for ten years at least. Michael Mann (HEA, COLATERAL DAMMAGE) originally had the rights...
